Garden of the Gods Wedding Venue: High Point Overlook

Enter High Point overlook and see the stunning views of Pikes Peak mountain at a romantic Sedona style scenery at the glorious Garden of the Gods.
We recommend getting married at sunrise, to get the best lighting and a more serene and secluded experience. If you’re more of a night-owl than a morning person, you can always opt for a sunset ceremony, followed by an evening of stargazing and a moonlight picnic by the park!
How to Navigate High Point Overlook
There are two routes you can take to access High Point Overlook. The recommended path, is to drive in from the south on Ridge Road, where High Point Overlook is located just to the left past of the Nature & Visitor Centre. The parking lot is a bit harder to access due to the abundance of one-way roads, so it is recommended that you arrive earlier to secure your parking spots.
- There is a slated roof located on site with a structure, and High Point Overlook is the only location that offers a form of roof, though be aware it will not protect you from any intense weather. It can create shadows for photo opportunities however!
- Be aware that the location is primarily a rocky landscape, so dress accordingly or bring an extra pair of footwear if you intend on hiking or walking around for longer periods of time.
- The views of the mountains are by far the most popular and look amazing with a sunrise or sunset view. We recommend getting married in the morning or evening for the perfect golden hour shots. You can also see Central Garden and the 9 biggest rock formations at Garden of the Gods, from the top of High Point Overlook, making it a top-tier viewpoint.
